Did a test of the equipment at one of the prospective screening locations, and everything went well. The projector, transmitter and DVD player were all running off of the inverter, and the car didn't blow up! The image was a little dim for my liking, but I think I was really pushing the projector distance-wise to see just how big I could get the picture, and there is a good deal of light loss from passing through the windshield. I'll have to see if there is some safe way to mount the projector outside of the car. Maybe an old drive-in tray will work. Anyway, the FM transmitter worked great - two other cars were able to tune in and listen, and the signal was solid. I recently upgraded to a Ramsey FM-30, and the purchase seems to be a good one. I only tested a few shorts, as it was 2am and I didn't want to bother any neighbors, but everyone who was around was impressed, and I think we're ready to go as soon as we have the first location and film nailed down.
